CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Active Seniors 20/20/20 Level IV - This class is divided
into three parts. The first 20 minutes consists of 10
minutes of aerobic warm-up and 10 minutes of basic step
or floor work. The next 20 minutes is strengthening with
weights and tubing. The last 20 minutes is on the floor
doing 5 minutes of abs and 15 minutes of stretching and
cool down.
Body Blast - Get a great cardio workout as well as
a muscle strengthening workout combined with step movements
and floor aerobics. Work at your own pace.
Burn & Firm
- Burn calories and tone muscles! This class offers
a mix of high-intensity cardio (kickboxing, step pump,
floor aerobics, an interval training) and muscle strengthening
using stretch tubes, body bar, hand weights, stability,
ball, medicine ball. Give it a try, you'll love the results.
Cardio In Motion - Add some cardio to your muscle
development and conditioning. Alternate between sitting
down and standing up, execises throughout the hour of
a low impact class. Beginners and Seniors welcome. This
is between Level I and Level II.
Gentle Yoga - This new class will stretch and tone
your entire body as well as relax your mind. This is a
yoga class that for beginners or seniors.
Golden Seniors
Level II - a more intense workout with cardio
added using a chair and standing behind the chair. Weights,
tubing, and ball included.
Line
Dancing I - An aspect of dance fitness that provides
both a mental and physical workout.
Maverick Express
- This workout will allow you to get a complete aerobic
and strength training workout in just half an hour. Once
you complete one exercise you will move to an aerobic
station where you will
keep your heart rate at an optimal level for fat burning.
Pilates - Focus on core muscles, you will increase
flexibility, strengthen balance, enhance your posture,
coordination and mental focus.
Silver Sneakers® Level I - muscular strength and
conditioning using a chair. Some movements standing behind
the chair involved. Mostly upper body strength using light
weights, elastic tubing and a ball.
Silver Sneakers®
Level III - this class is set up from the Silver Sneakers®
I workout. This is a muscular strength and conditioning
class with 30 minutes of non impact cardio standing behind
the chair. This also includes upper body strength workout
using arms and legs together. Weights, tubing, and ball
are also included.
Step Challenge - High and low intensity fat burning
cardiovascular workout incorporating benches. More intense
than regular Step class.
Tai Chi - designed to create a tranquil state of mind
in a flexible and healthy body.
A mind and body workout taken from ancient Chinese
internal health arts and self-defense.
Water Aerobics
- The use of water in water aerobics supports the
body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury. The
mitigation of gravity by flotation places less stress
on the joints when stretching, and can allow a greater
range of motion. Water aerobics is safe for any individual
able to keep their head out of water. Exercise in water
can also prevent overheating through continuous cooling
of the body. Most classes last for 45-55 minutes.
Yoga - Learn
the basic postures to increase your flexibility, strengthen
muscles, improve breathing and circulation, and reduce
stress.
Yogalates -This
class is designed for the early morning riser who enjoys
yoga mixed with some pilates movements to strengthen the
core muscles of the body. Join us every Monday morning
for this new and refreshing class.
Zumba
Cardio Combo - Combines high energy and motivating
music with unique moves and combinations that allow you
to dance away your worries. This is a fun and easy to
follow workout for all ages. A fusion of Latin and International
and popular music that creates a dynamic, effective workout.
This fun workout also incorporates body sculpting techniques
using resistance equipment.
