Arlington, TX - The 2005 Triple Crown Championships were
held this past weekend at the Maverick Athletic Club, September
9-10, 2005. With almost 110 players playing in 20 divisions the
club was filled with players and spectators from all over Texas,
including some players from Oklahoma and Arkansas. The Triple Crown
awards for all 1st place finishers were $100 worth of Mav Bucks.
Mav Bucks are just like money except they can be used to purchase
anything at the Maverick Pro Shop or the Snack Bar. They can also
be used on tournament entry fees as well. All 2nd place finishers
were given their choice of awards from tournament sponsors E-Force,
Head, and Ektelon. Participants were also treated to a special souvenir
dri-fit style of shirt with the Triple Crown logo on the front.
Most players seem to like this type of athletic apparel to wear
on and off the court. The Maverick would like to thank all the players
that entered this event as well as those that supported our summer
shootouts. We hope you all had a great time and we look forward
to next year. |
