Texas
State Singles Racquetball Championships
March 26-28, 2010
ARLINGTON,
TX -- Join
us for the 2010
TXRA Texas State Singles Racquetball Championships,
March 26-28, 2010. This event will be hosted
at the historic Maverick Athletic Club in Arlington,
TX and is the premiere singles tournament for
racquetball. This event is SINGLES ONLY and
open to all Texas residents. You must be a Texas
resident to play in State Singles. This is a
USAR/TXRA sanctioned event. Due to the large
number of entries, players must be able to play
Friday, March 26th as early as 6pm. Matches
can be scheduled late Friday to accomodate players
that have to travel from farther distances.
Come
play at a real racquetball club that has been
supporting racquetball for over 30 years! There
is no better club or tournament in the state
of Texas.
The
event will feature:
Playing
in State Singles qualifies you to play in Nationals.
All Junior divisions are FREE for kids.
Online entry is the preferred method for sign-up.
Register before Monday, March 1 and save $5.
Please
come out early on Friday to help us referee.

Singles Racquetball League concluded this
past week. Congratulations to all the winners:

are open to Maverick members and also non-members.
Leagues here are very competitive, players
come from all over the Metroplex to play.
And playing in the league gives you more
opportunities to stay and play on the challenge
court where the BEST players test their
skills. The Doubles League will
begin soon, check back for the dates and

Maverick
First Saturday of the Month Doubles Shootout
The
First Saturday of the Month Doubles Shoot-out
will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the
Maverick at 12:00 pm.
The First Saturday Shootout consists of one
OPEN division of doubles play. All mens players
put in $20.00 and the pool is dispersed among
the winners of the round robin shoot-out. Partners
are drawn out of a hat. The shoot-out for the
men begins promptly at 12:00 pm. The women start
at 9:30am and the fee is only $10 per player
for the ladies. This is also a very fun workout
and the level of play is high, which is better
for everyone's game. For even more fun, bring
a friend with you. Come on, let's see what you
got.
