the state, just like you playing in the Maverick Metroplex Racquetball Championships.
This is an event you won't want to miss. We will also be hosting the first ever
Extreme Dodgeball Tournament the same weekend for all racquetball players. Dodgeball
Entry is FREE (for rules
click here) and we encourage you to sign-up early since we will only accept
the first 32 entries. This tournament will be the largest event in the history
of Texas racquetball. There will be no charge for viewing, the Legends
players will play in their own division all weekend and also in the sponsor doubles
event on Friday night.
| Marty
Hogan is a (5x) #1 year end champion. His most impressive record is winning 20
tournaments during the 1976-1978 season. He has a career winning percentage of
85%. Marty dominated racquetball for almost 15 years and is the most recognized
player in the sport. |
| | Cliff
Swain is the first player to win (6) #1 year end titles. He won his first pro
stop at the age of 18 and was unseeded. Cliff is known for his blistering drive
and aggressive gamestyle. He dominated the game after Mr. Hogan and still competes
on the mens pro tour now. |
|
| Dave
Peck is most well known for also finishing the year in 1982 as the #1 player in
the world. That same year Dave also won the Ektelon and Catalina National titles.
He was once one of the most feared players for his aggressive gamestyle. |
| | Greg
Peck is the younger brother of Dave and most well known for winning the 1985 DP/Leach
Nationals. Greg was known for being one of the "Most Fit" players on
the mens pro tour. He still competes and is also a national doubles champion. |
|
| Ruben
Gonzalez is considered a freak of nature. Not only has Ruben been playing racquetball
for over 20 years, but "Rubes" still competes on the mens pro tour today.
He has won open national doubles titles as well as national singles titles in
his age group. |
| | Derek
Robinson is the newest addition to the Legends Tour. Also known as "Big D",
he most recently made his presence felt at the 2003 US Open as a finalist in the
mens pro division. He also promotes racquetball all over the world promoting his
"Big D Roadshow" |
