7 Things To Look For At The Maverick Metroplex Racquetball Championships

1. The Maverick Longsleeve Souvenir Shirt
The Maverick has been known for its black longsleeve t-shirt that comes out just in time for the cold weather. Seems like all the other tournaments give out short sleeve shirts, so this is perfect to keep you warm for the next few months.

2. Players Travel From All Over The State
"Just like old times" is what you hear alot at this event. Since the Metroplex Championships is one of the year's biggest tournaments, alot of familiar faces come out to the Maverick and you never know who you'll see. This is a good time to come out, even if you can't play in the tournament.

3. The Highest Level Of Competition
The best players from all over Texas and the surrounding areas will be here to compete. We offer nearly 50 divisions in singles, doubles, age-skill and juniors. We encourage everyone to enter at least two divisions, three divisions is allowed as long as one division is mixed doubles.

4. The Hypnotism Show On Saturday Night
The Maverick is proud to have world re-known hypnotist Deryl Harrison perform on Saturday night, at 9pm. This will be the highlight of the night as players will be treated to a professional show of hypnotism. If you have never seen anything like this, now is your chance. You may be one of lucky people chosen to come up on stage and make us laugh.

5. Come meet Kane Waselenchuk
For those of you who have never seen racquetball at the highest level, don't miss the chance to see (3x) World Champion and (3x) US OPEN Champion Kane Waselenchuk here at the Maverick. Kane will be doing a free clinic/exhibition on Saturday at 4pm. This is free for everyone so come out and see the best player in the world as he makes an exclusive appearance at the Maverick.

6. The Only Real Racquetball Club
And I mean literally, just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere of a real racquetball club. The Maverick is known for it's top knotch hospitality and overhead viewing of all the matches. Our two championship courts have backwall glass viewing so everyone can catch all the action. Relax in the snack bar area with a smoothie or a cold beverage while you watch your favorite sports show on the "Big Screen TV".
